Lesson 4: Creating database connections in Workflow manager.

We need to create database connections through Informatica PowerCenter Workflow Manager to access our source and target database through Informatica loads.

1. Launch Informatica PowerCenter Workflow Manager and connect to repository.
2. Click on Connections->Relational as shown below.
3. In the Relational Connection Browser click �New� Button as shown below.
4. In the Select Subtype box, select Oracle and click OK.
5. Enter the connection details for source connection in the Relational Connection Editor shown below.Please note here you need to enter username , password and connect string of the database.
6. Click OK and then click on the permissions tab shown below.
7. Assign appropriate permissions to the users on the connection and click. More users can be assigned permissions on the connection clicking �Permissions� -> �Add� button. Check read/write/execute options in the below shown dialog box to assign appropriate privileges to users on a connection.
7. Click OK.
